Coal is the main source of electricity worldwide, currently providing more than 36% of global electricity, and will be part of the future needs of energy for quite some years to come.

We are committed throughout our supply chain to carrying the business in a safe, efficient, and responsible way. We are specialized in low sulfur content coal which contributes less to Greenhouses gas emissions (GHG).

We supply a variety of customers and our thermal coal is used in power generation, industrial processes, and the manufacturing of cement, aluminum, and nickel.

Through a joint venture, we are developing metallurgical coal for major Asian steel mills.

​

We source our cargoes from the major producing countries either via offtakes, long-term contracts, or spot purchases.

​

We are strengthening and consolidating our position in the market year after year.

SUPPLY CHAIN LONG and SHORT TERM

Several studies have been conducted by some researchers on the combination of long-term procurement strategies and short-term procurement. We define the mixed procurement strategy optimized by integrating the use of real-options contracts and the spot market.

 

Blue Corporation studied the combination of the use of 2 (two) alternative procurement strategies namely capacity reservation contracts and spot markets against the use of a single source of procurement.
